At Husk & Seed, we understand the frustration of searching for a safe, effective, and cosmetically elegant SPF. That's why we've embarked on a mission to develop our own, reef-safe sunscreen that ticks all the boxes:

1. Non-Nano Protection: We are committed to using non-nano mineral filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These ingredients effectively block harmful UVA and UVB rays.

2. Zero-Cast Formula: We are meticulously researching and testing various ingredients and techniques to create a sunscreen that blends seamlessly into the skin, leaving no visible white cast. This ensures everyone can enjoy sun protection without compromising their natural skin tone.

3. Non-Comedogenic Ingredients: We carefully select ingredients that are non-comedogenic, meaning they are unlikely to clog pores and trigger breakouts. This is especially crucial for individuals with acne-prone or sensitive skin.

This mission is not without its challenges. Developing a non-nano SPF that offers broad-spectrum protection, is cosmetically pleasing, and remains stable can be complex. We don’t believe in 10-step skincare routines that can overload your skin. We like you to  be able to multi-task with the Husk & Seed products you already have, which also  means you are not spending out unnecessarily. 

We have formulated our products to be gentle enough to use around the eye area and  they will nourish and protect the skin, whilst keeping fine lines at bay!

We make water-free skincare and don’t plan to bring out a toner. Our products won’t strip your skin, so you won’t need a toner to rebalance (more clever marketing by the corporations). We are 100% confident that you will love our products, but we do realise that it can be a transition from the routine you might have been used to for many years. So if you feel as if you do really want to use a toner, we recommend using a rosewater hydrosol.
