About Argan & our ingredient sourcing

As you may have seen on our socials, Wendy and I took a trip to Morocco last month, which is where we source our beautiful argan oil from!  It’s such an experience to watch the local women pressing the argan nuts to extract the oil and watching this process first hand only reiterates just how precious every drop is that goes into our formulations!

We’re very particular about the ingredients that make it into our products and the reason that argan oil is one of our must-haves is because of the amazing benefits it has on the skin and hair.  Native to Morocco, argan trees are adapted to harsh, dry desert conditions and perform similar protective functions for the skin, sealing in moisture whilst protecting your skin against environmental factors.  Lovingly referred to as liquid gold by the people of Morocco, argan oil is full of antioxidants is deeply moisturising, anti-inflammatory and is wonderfully healing for sore skin.

Wendy and I have always taken great care to know the source of every ingredient we have chosen to use. Each ingredient is selected for its skincare benefits and each ingredient serves a positive purpose to your skin and wellbeing! We are also very proud to be Leaping Bunny certified, which means we are a cruelty-free brand and vegan too! There is a rigorous process involved in obtaining this certification and we work hard behind the scenes to maintain their very high standards!

Another core value of Husk & Seed Skincare is that we always use the best quality ingredients available to us. There are no compromises when it comes to the oils, butters and clays we chose.  We put so much energy into making sure the ingredients we source are premium quality from respected suppliers.  We always use unrefined, cold pressed oils and we buy organic where possible.

We hope you can feel the love and care that goes into each and every jar when you’re using them in your Husk & Seed Ritual! x
